Our colorful hens and their roo’ roam the farm in search of bugs and tender greens. These free-range hens provide us with colorful eggs for sale as well as breakfasts for our guests. The “Yardbirds” (yes, it’s a musical reference) are all named after country singers. Loretta, Patsy, and Waylon (all pictured) love performing for you at the “Ryman Coop.”
Far Flung Farm is a Certified Wildlife Habitat and a Certified Monarch Waystation. We’re a great place to bird watch: we have families of bluebirds, swallows, and hummingbirds that raise their young every year as well as many other wild birds that frequent our feeders and gardens. Fireflies fill our fields all summer long.
We are re-introducing bees and will be adding an array of miniature farm animals for guests to pet and feed. Hugo, the angora rabbit, loves to be held and brushed. Farm dogs, Luna and the Preacher, are happy to welcome you and show you to your campsite.
